Pembroke Pines is gearing up to celebrate South Florida’s own version of gold — mangos.

The Island Space Mango Festival makes it way to the Charles F. Dodge City Center on Sunday, June 21 from 2 to 6 p.m., bringing a Father’s Day celebration chockful of unique tastings, exotic samples and exclusive swag.

The event, which claims it’s the 954’s only mango festival, is run by the Island Space Museum, a nonprofit art gallery and museum in Plantation dedicated to preserving and celebrating Caribbean culture.

Per event organizers, over 1,500 visitors are expected, a spike in attendance compared to the 300 guests who visited the inaugural festival in 2024 and the 700 who attended last year.

How can you save your spot?

Three ticket packages are available via Ticketmaster — general, “Daddy’s Kingdom,” and “Mango Sommelier Experience” — through the day of the festival.

The $32.55 general package affords attendees four hours of family fun, mango samples and varieties from around the globe, and access to over 40 artisan, food, plant, home and garden vendors.

Daddy’s Kingdom, $60.25 and named in honor of Father’s Day, features a dads-only zone, a red carpet entrance, “throne and crown” photo opportunities, pampering sessions, gift items, a premium raffle entry and full access to all festival activities.

The $60.25 Mango Sommelier Experience includes all of the above, as well as a 20-minute exotic mango flight tasting and a “mango-themed swag bag.”

What else to expect from the fruit fest? A mango auction, live DJ and multicultural performances, chef-led culinary demos and workshops on tropical fruit care.
