This Friday through Sunday, the city is serving up several festivals for lovers of rare blooms and good books, a glow-in-the-dark golf scramble and a culinary trip to old-world England.
If you’re looking for a productive tail end to your week, chances to get your miles in or network with business-saavy folks are also on Pembroke Pines’ schedule.

Orchid Magic
Wake up and smell these rare flowers Friday through Sunday at the Charles F. Dodge City Center’s Orchid Magic showcase. Hosted by the Fort Lauderdale Orchid Society, the festival is celebrating its 66th edition and has lots in store, including visits from international growers, floral displays, a vendor mart, educational workshops and more. Dabble in the blooms yourself? Enter your prize plant in one of the show’s contests for a chance to win cash prizes. Tickets are $20.25 for general admission or $40 for VIP early entry.

Neon Nine Glow Golf Tournament
Tee off under the lights Friday at this city-sponsored mini golf scramble at Pembroke Lakes Golf and Raqcuet Club. This adults-only event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. and includes nine holes, dinner and prizes for those looking to shake up the first few days of 2026. Tickets are $90 per player and space is limited, so attendees are encouraged to reserve their spot by calling the club’s pro shop at 954-431-4146.

Sunrise Strides
Get a sweaty start to your Saturday with this run club’s early-morning trot at Memorial Park, located at 10601 SW City Center Blvd. Runners of all paces are welcome and will meet at 7 a.m. to get their miles in and make community. Admission is free and open to the public with registration.

Studio Saturday: 3D Abstract Collage
Make your own 3-D collage at Studio 18 Art Complex’s monthly workshop series Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Artist Deborah Perlman will provide a short demonstration of building techniques using materials such as paper, fabric, textures and found objects before leading attendees into an open studio session. No experience is required, but attendees must be 12 years and older. Tickets are $10 with registration.

ArtLit 2026
Broward Libraries invites families and art lovers to its eighth annual ArtLit Festival on Saturday at the Southwest Regional Library. The all-ages event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes hands-on activities, such as planting workshops, crafts, book discussions, giveaways and storytimes. This year’s theme — Our Nature: How Our Physical Enviornment Can Lead Us to Seek Hope, Courage, and Connection — takes inspiration from books “The Seed Keeper” and “The First Blade of Sweetgrass.” Admission is free with registration.

Sensory Saturday
The Frank C. Ortis Art Gallery invites its neurodivergent friends and family to calm, creative fun from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday. Visitors can explore the gallery and participate in art activities in a low-stimulation setting complete with soft lighting, reduced sound, a cozy bean bag zone and access to sensory tools. Admission is free and open to all ages.

Celebrate the closing of the Frank C. Ortis Gallery’s Fall Exhibition Series on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Artist Stephanie McMillan will give attendees a walkthrough of her colorful exhibition — “Our Loving World” — that nods to South Florida’s edible and medicinal plants by anthropomorphizing local flora and fauna. As a parting party favor, guests can take home free seeds and an informational zine for a self-led activity to create your own seed packets. Admission is free to this all-ages event.

If you’re an entrepreneur looking to conquer 2026, you’ll want to check out this annual networking conference at the Pembroke Lakes Golf and Racquet Club on Saturday from 9 a.m to 2 p.m. Led by business and financial coach Tishawa Howard, the schedule features talks by industry experts, opportunities to “connect with like-minded individuals,” and a vendor fair. A Night at the CH Pub
Close your weekend with old-world comfort at Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restuarants’ pub-inspired dinner Sunday at 5 p.m. On the menu are several speciality drinks — Global Cuvée, a Highland Honey Toddy and Cooper’s Hawk Ale — and English favorites such as Yorkshire pudding, beef stew, roasted Chicken Tikka Masala and sticky toffee pudding.
