If you need a reason to hit the greens early in the new year, Pembroke Pines is more than happy to give you one.

The city is inviting residents to a glow-in-the-dark mini golf scramble on Friday, Jan. 9, for a bright — and birdie-filled — start to 2026.

The adults-only Neon Nine Glow Golf Tournament begins with a 5:30 p.m. registration followed by a 7:30 p.m. tee-off at the Pembroke Lakes Golf and Racquet Club, located at 10500 Taft St.

Tickets are $90 per participant and include the nine-hole scramble, dinner, prizes as well as the “neon vibes, friendly competition, and a whole lot of fun under the lights” the event advertises.

Unlike the city’s free, biannual PartTee at Night golf social — or its yearly Mayor’s Golf Tournament to benefit the Pembroke Pines Charter School Foundation — this event is specifically for those looking to shake up the first few days of 2026.

Players hoping to “start the year doing something different, social, and memorable,” will find that this scramble was designed just for them, Pembroke Pines officials say.

Space is limited and will “fill up fast,” according to the city, so attendees are encouraged to reserve their spot by calling the club’s pro shop at 954-431-4146.
