Pembroke Pines man shoots neighbor during dispute, victim hospitalized, cops say
A Pembroke Pines man has been arrested after allegedly shooting his neighbor early Friday, Feb. 13, according to the Pembroke Pines Police Department.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire at the parking lot of the Johnson Street Apartments — 7901 Johnson St. — around 1 a.m., PPPD said in statement.
Police found a man with a gunshot wound to his chest and shoulder when they arrived. He was rushed to a hospital for his injuries by the Pembroke Pines Fire Department and listed in critical but stable condition.
Officers also located the alleged shooter — 35-year-old Ariel Oden De Los Santos, a resident of the apartment complex — when they arrived and arrested him, PPPD said.
Investigators say shots were fired over an “isolated neighbor dispute, domestic in nature” and that no other people are on the loose.
De Los Santos faces two charges, attempted homicide and burglary with battery.
