A 40-year-old man has been arrested after phoning Pembroke Pines police and threatening to kill officers, according to the Pembroke Pines Police Department.

Jean Boursiquot, whose home city is unknown, first called PPPD’s Records Unit around 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12, about a police report, the department said in a statement.

He grew frustrated while chatting on the phone, stating, “This is why people commit murder,” according to police.

He then made a second call to the agency — after the first was disconnected — to add that he was headed to “Police Headquarters because, I want to shoot police,” officials said.

Investigators say they worked quickly to locate Boursiquot and found him near 3301 North Park Road in Hollywood, arresting him shortly after.

He was being held at Broward Main Jail as of Feb. 13, jail records show, pending a bond trial.

Boursiquot faces a charge of making threats against a law enforcement officer.
