Looking to add a new Labubu to your collection? The collectible’s sole maker and seller is coming to a Pembroke Pines mall near you.

Pop Mart — a China-based toy retailer — will open its first South Florida brick-and-mortar at Pembroke Lakes Mall, according to an October announcement on the shopping center’s Instagram account.

A date for the store’s grand opening hasn’t been released as of Dec. 18, but the mall told customers to “stay tuned” for when they’d be able to “discover the world of collectible art toys, adorable characters, and endless surprises that make every visit unforgettable.”

Pop Mart got its start as a Beijing variety store in 2010, Forbes reported in 2020, but has shot to fame in the past decade thanks to the rising popularity of “blind boxes,” mystery packages containing collectible figurines.

Labubus — small, plush monsters with toothy grins — have become the brand’s most recognizable item, generating $670 million in revenue for Pop Mart in 2025, according to USA Today.

The blind-box figurine has been spotted dangling on the purses of pop stars Rihanna and Dua Lipa, and has seen six-figure sales, such as the $150,000 price tag for a 4-foot mint green Labubu purchased at a Beijing auction in June.

Other viral Pop Mart toys include the cherub-like CryBaby, edgy Skullpanda and ever-pouting Molly dolls.

Pop Mart’s Pembroke Lakes shop would join its Orlando and suburban Tampa locations as permanent Florida storefronts.

An Aventura Mall holiday kiosk and a vending-machine-like “robo shop” in Sweetwater’s Dolphin Mall make up the brand’s South Florida presence.
