South Florida furniture chain moves to Pembroke Pines, is hiring for new store
A South Florida furniture chain is staffing its new Pembroke Pines store in preparation for its opening.
Rana Furniture announced it would begin hiring team members for its latest addition — a brick-and-mortar at 11251 Pines Blvd. — located less than a half mile from Pembroke Lakes Mall, according to a Dec. 17 Instagram post.
The plaza’s managing real estate firm, RK Centers, announced the news in a Sept. 18 statement that said the retail chain would offer “a wide range of quality and affordable furniture” but was without an opening date.
“Our Pembroke Lakes Mall lease positions us at the heart of one of South Florida’s most dynamic retail corridors,” Rana Furniture’s president, Douglas Esser, told industry news site Furniture Today in June. “With 75,000 daily vehicle passes and proximity to anchor tenants like Target, this location allows us to serve customers through a modernized, one-stop shopping experience.”
Rana’s new store — which sits on roughly 198,450 square feet of land and was last sold in 2017 for over $22 million — replaces a Joann Fabrics & Crafts that closed in April. The chain’s former location in the city — 7979 Pines Blvd. — ceased operations shortly after the Pembroke Lakes property was acquired.
Located two doors down, at 11249 Pines Blvd, is a City Furniture, one of the company’s regional competitors.
Headquartered in Doral, Rana Furniture has furnished South Florida homes since 2003 and has locations in Miami, Hialeah, Miami Gardens, Homestead, Cutler Bay and Kendall.
New product lines — including home appliances, flooring solutions and decorative wall panels — and 20 new positions are expected with the Pembroke Pines store’s launch, according to Furniture Today.
