Summer nights a drag? Check out this new evening market opening at Dream Park
If you’re looking to add to your post-work plans, this new farmers market in Pembroke Pines wants to liven up your summer weeknights.
Dream Park Marketplace, event runners The Cioli Group’s latest project, brings a monthly evening farmers market to the southwest Broward city starting July 16, according to a June 12 Instagram post by the group.
The bazaar will take over the William B. Armstrong Dream Park, 1700 NW 160th Ave., which nears its first anniversary since reopening after park renovations, including a new recreation center and playground area, a passive park, fitness trails and walking paths.
Vendor booths will be up every third Thursday of the month from 5 to 9 p.m.
Here is the schedule:
- Thursday, July 16
- Thursday, Aug. 20
- Thursday, Sept. 17
- Thursday, Oct. 15
- Thursday, Nov. 19
- Thursday, Dec. 17
What goods can you expect?
Official vendors haven’t been announced as of June 15, but headliners at the Southwest Ranches Community Farmers Market — The Cioli Group’s first market, started in 2022 — could hint at the Pembroke Pines lineup.
Often spotted at the weekly Southwest Ranches fest are local eateries and home chefs, a book swap and homegrown produce booths.
Vendor regulars include Raíz Sourdough Pizza, Latin American barbecue spot El Botalón Carne en Vara, a Cioli Group-sponsored book swap and Puerto Rican eats pop-up D’Pura Cepa.
The market is also recruiting small businesses that would like to set up shop at Dream Park Marketplace, but warns spots are limited.
To make the lineup, vendors must pay a $65 fee and commit to two market dates, as well as provide their own tents, tables and any items needed for their display. Space for food trucks is not available.
