Upscale wedding boutique for grooms coming to Pembroke Gardens. What we know
If getting hitched is in your future, Pembroke Pines is welcoming a new haven for engaged couples.
My Groom’s Room, a Miami-Dade-based menswear wedding boutique, is moving into Pembroke Gardens, bringing a luxury wedding shopping experience to the southwest Broward plaza.
The shop is set to move into 317 SW 145th Terrace — the former site of a Yankee Candle — but an opening date has not been announced, per the boutique’s April 9 Instagram post.
The Pines store was one of 20 Yankee Candle locations shut down in January as part of a larger productivity plan, according to parent company Newell Brands.
Self-proclaimed “Miami’s #1 Men’s Store,” My Groom’s Room is an offshoot of Sartori Amici, a custom suit shop that opened in 1989 and has locations in Coral Gables and Doral.
The brand has been featured in publications such as Magazine Brickell, Vogue and Brides, as well as popular wedding planning app and marketplace The Knot.
Its owner, Sebastian Garcia, appeared on the reality series “Shark Tank,” where he introduced The Lapel Project, which sells adhesive, removable lapels to transform regular suit jackets into tuxedos.
Its specialty, however, lies in bringing a level of service and attention to detail to suit shopping that’s often reserved for bridal shops.
“Our goal is to make your wedding day a memorable and joyful experience that you can remember for years to come,” the brand’s homepage says. “We have a team of professionals that will take every little detail into consideration during the consultation, from the setting, to the theme, to the season to ensure that you choose the suit or tuxedo that best fits your needs.”
Consultations are free and grooms can enjoy complimentary champagne with their visit, per the boutique’s website, as well as lifetime alterations and tailoring with the purchase of any package, which start at $259.99.
