A lottery ticket worth $3 million was sold at a grocery store chain in south Broward. Is it yours?

One lucky Mega Millions player narrowly missed the $303 million jackpot in the Jan. 30 drawing, but they still made out with a $3 million second-tier prize, the highest amount won in the country that night.

The ticket was sold at a Winn-Dixie Liquor at 1055 W. Hallandale Beach Boulevard just off Interstate 95 in Hallandale Beach, not far from Pembroke Pines, according to the Florida Lottery.

The winning numbers were 11-34-36-43-63, with a Mega Ball of 13. The player beat the 1-in-12,629,232 odds of matching all five white balls, but they missed the gold Mega Ball, according to the Mega Millions site.

The player bought a $5 Quick Pick ticket, meaning the computer terminal randomly generated their numbers. They were also assigned a 3X multiplier, turning what would have been a $1 million win into a much bigger prize.

Players are advised to sign their tickets as soon as they purchase them, and they have 180 days to claim a Mega Millions prize. The winner will have to travel to Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee to claim their windfall, since it’s over $1 million.

The Mega Millions jackpot is estimated to be $323 million at the next drawing, which will take place Tuesday, Feb. 3, at 11 p.m.
