Lottery ticket sold at Pembroke Pines Publix lands $125K prize on Christmas Eve

Christmas came early for a lottery player who won nearly $126,000 with a ticket sold at a Pembroke Pines Publix.

The winner scored the top prize — $125,833.03 — in the Wednesday, Dec. 24, evening Fantasy 5 drawing, according to the Florida Lottery.

Lottery records show the ticket was sold at a Publix Super Market in the Flamingo Pines Plaza, located at 170 S. Flamingo Road, and remains unclaimed as of the morning of Dec. 26.

The winning numbers — 12-13-15-22-28 — were chosen by the player, who opted out of the lottery’s QuickPick computer-generated selections.

Fantasy 5 drawings happen twice daily, at 1:05 p.m. and 11:15 p.m.
