Popular retail store with Pines location might be closing. Here’s what we know
A popular boutique-style retailer founded in the late 1990s appears to be closing its stores nationwide, including its location at Pembroke Gardens in Pembroke Pines.
Francesca’s describes itself as a store that offers an “eclectic mix of carefully curated clothing, bright baubles, bold accessories and playful gifts,” according to a description on the Pembroke Gardens website.
A representative for the company confirmed to Women’s Wear Daily on Jan. 15 that the chain is “liquidating our inventory and closing soon.”
The website lists 25 stores across Florida, including the Pembroke Pines location at 505 SW 145th Terrace.
The Pembroke Pines News reached out to Pembroke Gardens management to ask about closure timelines but had not received a response as of Jan. 22.
Founded in 1999 as a single boutique in Houston, Francesca’s expanded rapidly over the past 25 years, growing to more than 450 boutiques across 45 states. The company employs more than 3,400 associates, according to its website.
Despite the reported closures, Francesca’s has not posted on social media to confirm the closure.
The store’s website is currently having a “last chance” warehouse sale and does not indicate that the store is closing.
