Pembroke Pines — a city with happenings as diverse as its population — yet again showing it has something for everyone.

To prove it, here’s your roundup of weekday events.

If you’re looking to meet new friends, the city offers several community meetups, including a run and Pilates class for fitness junkies, playdates for young parents, and a just-for-the-girls “paint and sip.”

Looking to fly solo? Enjoy some deserved “me-time” at a crochet class or a “team of one” trivia night.

2000s Music Trivia

Were you once the proud owner of an iPod Classic? Test your knowledge on all things Britney Spears, Beyoncé, NSYNC and more on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at The Pub’s “2000s music”-themed trivia night. Attendees can expect door prizes and traditional English fare such as beer-battered fish and chips, poutine and Guinness on tap. Admission is free and open to the public.

Mommy & Me Pilates Pop-Up

South Florida moms are invited to stretch and sweat at this fitness class Monday from 9:10 to 10:30 a.m. without having to worry about childcare. Rosa Santori, Pilates instructor and founder of The WellHeld Movement, will guide attendees through a gentle full-body workout at Playtopia Pembroke Pines while their kids enjoy the children’s gym. The event is BYOM — bring your own mat — and tickets cost $30.

Ladies Night Out: Paint & Sip

Gather your girlfriends for a night of delicious drinks and creative expression on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Baoshi Food Hall + Bar. The Asian vendor market will host a “paint and sip” event it’s dubbing “an exclusive tasting experience” that lends itself to creating new friendships. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the 21+ event and it costs $28.52 to attend.

Introduction to Dungeons & Dragons

If you want the lowdown on the world’s most popular tabletop role-playing game, the Pembroke Pines/Walter C. Young Resource Center will host an introductory course Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m. The event is meant for those ages 12 to 18 and is a good chance to meet like-minded players, per the library. All participants will be gifted a set of dice to take home afterward. Admission is free with registration.

Veteran Phone Giveaway

Nonprofit Florida Veterans Coalition and the City of Pembroke Pines will hand out free cellphones to those who’ve served in the United States military Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at City Hall. All Florida veterans qualify for the giveaway and must have an active Gmail account and provide proof of service to redeem their device. Former service members will also be gifted a two-year unlimited talk, text and data plan, with no contracts or credit card information required.

Run into Wellness

For midweek miles, join Pines Running Co. at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Cafe of Life, 16024 Pines Blvd. The run club will kick off the night with a 2-mile trot before runners enjoy a post-run hang at the chiropractic office and meet like-minded fitness lovers. All paces are welcome and admission is free with registration.

Sensory Sprouts

The South Regional/Broward College Library hosts Sensory Sprouts, a storytime event for neurodivergent children, from 11 a.m. to noon on Wednesday. The event includes books, songs and sensory play — such as felt, egg shakers and scarves — as part of a “welcoming and inclusive program.” Admission is free with registration.

Bloom & Play with Pembroke Pines Mommy Club

Try out Pembroke Pines’ newest kids gym — Bloom & Play, at 9984 Pines Blvd — with moms of the Pembroke Pines Mommy Club on Thursday. The indoor playground is tailored for children up to age 6 and allows young ones to “explore, climb, and imagine in a safe, fun environment,” per Bloom & Play. The playdate’s time and ticket prices — which will be at a discounted group rate — are provided once attendees register.

Off the Hook

Off the Hook’s knitting and crochet group returns to the Southwest Regional Library from noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday. Show off your latest project or pass on stitching techniques at this cozy community event. All supplies and materials will be provided by the Friends of the Library nonprofit. Admission is free, but registration is required to participate.
