Valentine’s Day weekend has come and gone, but that doesn’t mean the fun stops.

This week, Pembroke Pines is rolling out weekday events sure to keep the spark alive during your 9-to-5.

On the schedule are chances to pen your best sonnet, several craft parties, a taco-fueled run and more.

Poetry Club

Got a way with words? Head to South Regional/Broward County Library on Tuesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for a poetry club meeting. Poets are encouraged to bring their writings to share with others and improve their craft through creative feedback and comments. All discussions will be held at the library’s conference room. Admission is free and open to the public.

Sip & Create: Design a Mug

Channel your inner artist at Baoshi Food Hall + Bar’s Sip & Create workshop on Wednesday. Studio18 artist in residence Gary Gore will lead attendees through designing their own coffee mug from 6 to 9 p.m. Supplies for the craft will be provided by the vendor’s market, and participants can also enjoy retro music and adult beverage samplings. Admission is $25 for the 21+ event.

Frank Contemporaries with Edison Peñafiel

Chat with exhibiting artist Edison Peñafiel about his display at the Frank C. Ortis Art Gallery — Me pongo el sol al hombro y el mundo es amarillo — Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. The gallery’s chief curator, Sophie Bonet, and Peñafiel will explore themes of memory, migration and transitions reflected in the exhibition, a large-scale installation of suspended paintings, while participants munch on light refreshements. Admission is free, but registration is required.

Taco ‘Bout a Run

For midweek miles, join Pines Running Co. on Wednesday at Lime Fresh Mexican Grill at 7 p.m. The run club will kick the night off with a 2-mile trot before runners enjoy a 20% discount on a post-run meal at the restaurant. All paces are welcome and admission is free with registration.

Hearts & Craft Party

Still in the Valentine’s Day spirit? This mommy and me club celebrates the month of love with a crafting event Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. Attendees will meet at a park — address provided upon registration — with two sections accommodating kids up to age 5 and ages 5 to 12, allowing fun for everyone. Kids are encouraged to wear pink or red, and materials for the craft will be provided by the club. Admission is free with registration.

Sensory Sprouts

The South Regional/Broward College Library hosts Sensory Sprouts, a storytime event for neurodivergent childen, from 11 a.m. to noon on Wednesday. The hour-long event includes books, songs and sensory play — such as felt, egg shakers and scarves — as part of a “welcoming and inclusive program.” Admission is free with registration.

Off the Hook

Off the Hook’s knitting and crochet group returns to the Southwest Regional Library from noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday. Show off your latest project or pass on stitching techniques at this cozy community event. All supplies and materials will be provided by the Friends of the Library nonprofit. Admission is free, but registration is required to participate.
