Pembroke Pines — are you ready for some football? It’s officially Super Bowl weekend, meaning there’s cause to celebrate Friday through Sunday.
The city will host several gameday watch parties, but if throwing around the pigskin isn’t your thing, Pembroke Pines still has plenty to enjoy.
Also on this weekend’s roundup are a wellness festival, early Valentine’s Day festivities and a yoga session to end your week right.

Celebrate wellness and connection at the City of Pembroke Pines’ Kindness 2026: It Starts With You festival Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at City Hall. Headlining the event are poetry readings, live performances, arts and crafts, outdoor yoga and a holistic vendors market curated to promote health and harmony. Also slated is the sophomore edition of the Interactive Sidewalk Chalk Project by West Palm Beach muralist Mellow Monkey Art. Admission is free and open to the public.

Paws and Kisses Party
Puppy love is in the air Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. at Petland’s Paws and Kisses Party. The store — 356 N. University Drive — is offering you and your furry friend puppy playtime sessions, a photo booth and puppy kissing booth with complimentary pictures, raffles and giveaways, and sweet treats for dogs and owners. 19th Annual Louise Bennett-Coverley Reading Festival
Honor this Jamaican poet’s legacy at the Southwest Regional Library Saturday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Guest presenter and islander poet Joan Andrea Hutchinson will break down Bennett-Coverly’s writing, exploring her masterful use of the Jamaican Patois language. Yoga at C.B. Smith Park
Stretch into Sunday with this 9:30 a.m. yoga session at C.B. Smith Park, located at 900 N. Flamingo Road.
