This month’s Beats & Bites brings ‘Journey Through the Decades’ to Pembroke Pines

“Back to life, back to reality.”

Pembroke Pines is kicking off the new year with a night of free live entertainment as its Beats & Bites concert series returns from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 15, at the Charles F. Dodge City Center quad, 601 City Center Way.

Hosted by the City of Pembroke Pines, the “Throwback Thursday” concert series celebrates hits of different decades, performed by local and regional bands.

This month’s installment, themed “Journey Through the Decades,” will feature a mix of hits spanning across multiple musical eras.

According to city communications specialist Zachary Schieren, the band Torres Collective will headline the event. The band also performed at the concert series’ inaugural event on Oct. 23.

Schieren says the band was formed by local musicians part of ROCK WITH YOU entertainment.

Food trucks will begin serving food at 6 p.m., and guests are encouraged to bring chairs.

The next Beats & Bites concert is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 26, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Charles F. Dodge City Center.
