The Marvelous Wonderettes
Sing along to ‘50s and ‘60s hits at the Pembroke Pines Theatre of the Performing Arts during the opening weekend for “The Marvelous Wonderettes,” running from Oct. 10-19. The off-Broadway jukebox musical chronicles a quartet of high school girls the night of their senior prom and the fateful events that lead to their 10-year reunion. It’s a trip down memory lane chockful of crinoline skirts and classics such as “Mr. Sandman” and “I Only Want To Be With You.” Admission ranges from $30 to $40.

Studio Saturday: Palette Knife Painting
Create your own landscape in this palette knife painting class taught by Miami-based environmental artist Bonnie Masdeu at the Studio 18 Art Complex. This event, part of the gallery’s Studio Saturday series, goes on from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and comes with all materials included. Attendees must be 14 years or older and admission is $10.

Mixology Class with Empress Gin
This 21+ event at Baoshi Food Hall + Bar promises insider tips and tricks for seasoned bartenders and amateur mixologists alike. From 3-4:30 p.m. on Saturday, learn how to craft cocktails and create your own signature drink. Doors open at 2 p.m., parking is free and admission is $71.21.

Breakfast In Pink
Support breast cancer awareness — and enjoy a good cup of coffee — at H.O.P.E. Advancement Group Inc.’s Breakfast In Pink on Saturday from 8:30-10:30 a.m. The 18+ event will be held at Dillard’s in Pembroke Lakes Mall and feature survivor testimonies, music, raffles and a free continental breakfast. Don pink attire and register in advance for free admission.

Moka Miles with Pines Running Co.
Get a running start to your weekend Saturday with this fitness and food event by Pines Running Co. and Moka’s Café. Runners of all paces are asked to line up at 7 a.m. for a 2-4 mile trot before striding to the coffee shop to refuel and connect with Pines neighbors. Admission is free with registration.

Nike Run x Pembroke Gardens
Pembroke Gardens rings in the return of Nike to the plaza’s catalog with a celebratory run Saturday from 8-10 a.m. Participants will be allowed to test the brand’s newest sneakers — the Vomero Plus, Pegasus Premium and Structure 26 — and enjoy a live DJ performance and light bites post-workout. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. and the run starts at 9:30 a.m. Admission is free with registration.

Glowquila Wellness Festival
Tap into all things health and wellness at this multi-vendor festival hosted by Agave Bandido on Sunday from 9-11:30 a.m. The morning kicks off with a run and several exercise classes by Pines Running Co., Caution Fitness, Aguilar Fitness and a Forme Pilates instructor. Also on the schedule are perks including B-12 shots, IV therapy, massages, alignments, body sculpting and laser hair removal sessions. Admission is free with registration.

Subaru of Pembroke Pines Dog Appreciation & Adoption
This car dealership wants to celebrate your furry friend Sunday from noon-2 p.m. Music, food, giveaways, a dog costume contest and a “Pet of the Year” competition are some of event’s headliners. For those looking to welcome a pup into their home, the Humane Society of Broward County will be onsite with several adoptable pets to choose from. Admission is free and open to the public.
