Two now dead after Broward weekend shooting; 911 calls reveal chaos and panic
Two people are now dead after a holiday weekend drive-by shooting in Miramar, police confirmed Wednesday, as newly released 911 calls provide details about the chaotic aftermath.
The victims have been identified as popular South Florida social media influencer Brianna Johnson, 21, and her cousin, Arthur Lee Johnson III, 21, according to Miramar police.
Investigators say a lime green Lamborghini Urus was driving toward Sunshine Boulevard around 5:30 a.m. on July 5 when a white sedan pulled alongside and started shooting.
The Lamborghini driver then crashed into a house, where a woman called 911.
“Someone just ran into my house,” the person says on the audio released by Miramar police. She then says that the people outside are fighting.
In response to the 911 operator asking about the people in the car, she said, “I don’t know because I don’t want to get too close.”
“I’m so scared,” she said, pleading for police or ambulance to arrive as fast as they can.
Other redacted calls show a woman screaming in the background, another asking for help. Another call comes from a man’s voice, and he does not seem to know where he is.
“Please help me, please ... come to my location now,” he can be heard yelling.
A woman’s voice is heard repeatedly yelling, “I can’t do this, I can’t,” in response to the 911 operator asking her for details.
Amid the screaming, a woman is telling someone to relax.
It is unclear who was driving the Lamborghini.
The identity and condition of the third victim who was taken to Memorial Hospital Miramar has not been released as of July 8.
