A multi-vehicle crash hospitalized three people, according to the Pembroke Pines Police Department.

Officers responded to the collision near University Drive and Taft Street the afternoon of Monday, July 6, PPPD spokesperson Amanda Conwell told the Pembroke Pines News.

Police found three vehicles involved in the crash when they arrived and rushed three individuals “to a nearby hospital for assessment,” she added.

PPPD did not disclose the conditions of those injured.

According to a police scanner, a motorcycle was involved and one of the vehicles had rolled over when officers arrived.

Roadways near University Drive and Taft Street were temporarily blocked but have reopened, Conwell said.

An investigation into what caused the crash is underway.
