Feeling a bit older, Pembroke Pines?

The city wrapped up celebrations of the nation’s 250th anniversary over the weekend, but those still craving some camaraderie and connection, worry not.

As World Cup matches carry into another week, Pembroke Pines offers “Love Island USA” watch parties, line dancing, the mayor’s Play Ball event and more.

Here’s what’s happening around your city from Monday, July 6, through Friday, July 10:

Love Island watch party

Bombshells looking to catch the latest episodes of “Love Island USA” with other islanders in the city have several opportunities this week.

Baoshi Food Hall + Bar, located at 8525 Pines Blvd., hosts Season 8 watch parties from 7 to 10 p.m. each night the show airs.

New episodes air five nights a week — Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday — at 9 p.m. on Peacock. Guests can secure their free ticket to the watch parties through Eventbrite.

The show is expected to wrap up around July 12.

Stars, Stripes and Mud Tires Jeep Night at Hooters

For the monthly Jeep Night at the Hooters of Pembroke Pines, car enthusiasts will meet Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m.

This month’s theme is “Red, White and Ride,” paying homage to the United States’ 250th anniversary. Prizes will be awarded for the “best dressed” jeeps.

Jeep keyholders will receive 15% off food and non-alcoholic beverages and an entry for the giveaway that includes several raffle baskets.

The free event at 7990 Pines Blvd. will also feature a DJ and vendors specialized in jeep accessories.

Line Dancing at BoneYard Pizza Co.

Line dancers of all skill levels and styles are welcome to show off their moves starting at 6 p.m. every Thursday at BoneYard Pizza Co.

The restaurant, located at 8358 Pines Blvd., organizes line dancing lessons until 7 p.m. Lights go out at 10 p.m.

Tickets start at $13 and can be purchased through Eventbrite.

Mayor’s Play Ball

Hey batter, batter ... swing batter!

The annual Mayor’s Play Ball event returns on Friday with free food, prizes and America’s Pastime catered to the city’s children.

Families and players will meet at Flamingo Park, located at 1900 NW 122nd Terrace, from 10 a.m. to noon for several hit, pitch and run activities alongside Mayor Angelo Castillo.

The event is co-hosted by the city’s Recreation & Cultural Arts Department and the United States Conference of Mayors.

The event is free and registration is not required.
