Four tickets to split jackpot lottery prize. One came from a Publix in Broward
A lottery player who purchased a ticket in Broward County hit the jackpot Sunday night in a drawing that produced four winners statewide.
The Coral Springs player will split the approximate $100,000 prize from the June 28 Fantasy 5 evening drawing with three others, leaving each with $24,351 before taxes, according to the Florida Lottery.
The Coral Springs ticket came from the Publix Super Market at 2201 N. University Dr. The other lucky tickets were purchased at a Publix in North Miami Beach as well as convenience stores in Fort Myers and Kissimmee.
The winning numbers were 7-8-29-31-36.
Three of the four ticket holders, including the Coral Springs winner, chose those numbers themselves, rather than have the machine pick the numbers for them. The North Miami Beach winner used the Quick Pick option.
They all beat the 1-in-376,992 odds of matching all five numbers to win the top prize.
It was the second time a Fantasy 5 jackpot ticket came from a Publix in Coral Springs in June.
Meanwhile, there were two winners in Sunday’s Fantasy 5 midday drawing, with the tickets purchased in Hialeah and Fort Myers. Both will take home $27,435 before taxes.
The winning numbers were 7-8-16-29-36.
