Planning a fall getaway? Breeze Airways adding two new destinations from FLL
Breeze Airways continues to expand its reach at Broward County’s largest airport with the addition of two new U.S. destinations.
Beginning this fall, Breeze will offer service from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport to Dayton, Ohio, and Trenton, New Jersey, the airline announced in a news release on Wednesday, June 24.
The carrier has built its brand as a high-value, low-cost airline option for travelers.
The Dayton nonstop route will fly out of FLL on Mondays and Fridays starting Oct. 9. One-way flight prices start at $69.
The Trenton route, which includes one stop, will be on Thursdays and Sundays beginning Sept. 20. Travelers can book reservations for both cities through the carrier’s website or app.
The expansion comes as the carrier began service in Broward on Nov. 5.
“We built Breeze to connect communities that the other airlines overlook, and today’s announcement continues to drive that purpose forward,” David Neeleman, the airline’s founder and CEO, said in the news release.
“Whether it’s a long weekend getaway or visiting family across the country, our Guests now have more affordable, convenient options than ever.”
Earlier this year, Breeze announced it was adding 11 new or expanded routes out of FLL, meant to strengthen its “intra-Florida” network.
With the latest additions, the carrier will service 16 cities out of Fort Lauderdale:
- Akron, Ohio (CAK)
- Birmingham, Alabama (BHM)
- Charleston, South Carolina (CHS)
- Dayton, Ohio (DAY)
- Greenville, South Carolina (GSP)
- Huntsville, Alabama (HSV)
