Need summer camp help? Check out this Pines sewing club for tweens and teens
Do you have kids with pent-up creative energy? Pembroke Pines is offering a camp where they can channel their inner artist and keep busy this summer break.
The city’s Art and Cultural Center, located at 901 NW 129th Ave., will host a Summer Sewing Club series for tweens and teens this July and August.
Registration for the month-long camp — taught by Sew Radiant — is open, and city officials say to reserve your spot now since space is limited.
Kids can be enrolled categorized by age: tweens, ages 8 through 12, and teens, ages 13 through 16.
Tweens will meet Tuesday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and teens will meet Thursday at the same time.
Only 10 seats are available per age group.
Those who want to dip their toes into the world of textile arts can sign up for a standalone workshop, which is $40 for resident and $50 for nonresident teens, or $45 for resident and $56.25 for nonresident teens.
Access to the four-week series is $140 for resident and $175 for nonresident tweens, or $160 for resident and $200 for nonresident teens.
