Broward students looking to switch schools for the upcoming academic year have another chance to do so.

Broward County Public Schools opened the second application cycle for school choice on Monday, June 8, for those families interested in school reassignments, Nova schools and magnet programs with available seats.

The application window will be open until Thursday, July 16.

The first cycle of the late-application window opened April 1 and ended May 15.

BCPS reminds families that if they submitted an application for the 2026-2027 school year during the open enrollment window, it remains active through the entire school choice process.

Cycle two is for families who did not submit an application in the April-May window or those who want to change the selection they made to their April-May application.

How can I apply?

Applications must be submitted through the BCPS Focus Parent Portal.

Instructions on how to open a parent portal can be found on the BCPS website.

For assistance creating or accessing a parent portal account or linking students to an account, email focuscommunications@browardschools.com.
