Pumped up and pouring drinks: South Florida activewear brand opens bar in Pines

Looking for a way to cool down after your daily pump? This Pembroke Pines bar wants to be your new post-gym hangout spot.

Certified Lifters Bar, located at 6756 Pines Blvd., will be open from 5 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, for a soft opening celebration to commemorate the watering hole’s arrival in southwest Broward.

Backed by the popular South Florida activewear brand of the same name, the bar claims it will become a “new home” for lovers of fitness, gaming and sports looking for community.

What can customers expect?

A gaming area outfitted with a PlayStation 5, a 65-inch screen and four controllers for “everybody to be able to play,” owner Mario Morales said in a June 2 Instagram post. .

For sports fan, two 75-inch screens mounted above the main bar will stream all major games, including NBA and NFL. Customers are allowed to bring headphones and connect them to speakers to drown out the noise.

Also available are board games, darts and a pool table as well as a lounge section with couches to relax on.

At the back of the bar is a pop-up store where patrons can buy merchandise and activewear such as pump covers, shorts and leggings at a discounted rate compared to the brand’s online site.

Morales founded Certified Lifters as a self-funded startup based in his 600-square-foot Sunrise apartment, often selling at local gyms, according to the activewear website.

Now its Instagram account boasts over 12,000 followers and its website claims apparel has received an average 5-star rating across hundreds of reviews.

The brand says its mission is two-fold: make unique, high-quality workout gear to “wear while chasing your goals both inside and outside of the gym,” and create a community centered around fitness, faith and freedom.

Certified Lifters Bar is open daily from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. For more information, check out the brand’s Instagram or website.
