Pines man told teens he wanted to ‘spoil’ them, solicited explicit videos, FBI says
A Pembroke Pines man is behind bars and facing federal charges for reportedly soliciting explicit videos from teen girls on Snapchat and distributing child sex abuse material, court records show.
FBI agents raided 33-year-old Daniel Lozano’s east Pines apartment on Wednesday, May 20, arresting him after discovering child pornography on his devices, according to a federal complaint.
Investigators said they learned Lozano exchanged photos or provided payment during explicit interactions with approximately 30 Snapchat users, at least six of whom were minors.
Per the complaint, agents began the probe into Lozano in March 2025 after learning he’d been in an “online relationship” that began in 2022 with a then-16-year-old.
The teen originally told Lozano she was an 18-year-old in high school, with authorities adding he paid her an estimated $1,000 over the course of three years in exchange for explicit photos and videos that he recorded and saved.
A judge authorized a search warrant for Lozano’s Snapchat account in May of 2025, revealing “multiple conversations containing images and videos which depicted child pornography,” as well as explicit content involving individuals whose age was hard to determine, according to the complaint.
At least two girls told Lozano they were minors, records show, and Lozano told one of them to “reply by saying she was (an) 18-year-old,” she recalled to investigators.
In addition to sending money via CashApp and Venmo, Lozano bought the girls “clothing and other items on the internet” in return for explicit material, saying he wanted to “spoil” them, agents said.
A preliminary search of Lozano’s cellphone also revealed videos of child pornography he sent on Snapchat and Telegram, an end-to-end encryption messaging app, according to the complaint.
Jail records show Lozano is being held at Broward County’s Main Jail on no bond. He faces three charges related to the possession, distribution and production of child sexual abuse material, and a charge of coercion and enticement.
