A new wellness cafe with ties to an area wellness center will soon make its home in Pembroke Pines.

Café 42, an “organic, interactive” coffee shop experience, plans to open at 10426 Taft St., in the Pembroke Lakes Shopping Plaza, bringing “matcha, clean blends, workshops” and more.

The eatery announced its pending arrival in an April 15 Instagram post, though an opening date has not been released as of May 4.

It replaces the former site of a bike shop, Alligator’s Cycling, per Google Street View images.

Much of the cafe’s particulars are still under wraps, though it is associated with another Pembroke Pines business: Health Pod Club, which offers functional lab testing and wellness amenities such as infrared saunas and massage chairs.

Located at 10422 Taft St., the wellness center is two doors down from Café 42 and has already announced a collaboration that will showcase what the eatery will bring to southwest Broward.

Both businesses — alongside Broward-based Naya Flow Yoga Studio — are offering a $99.99 membership deal that includes four yoga classes, four recovery sessions and 10% off any Café 42 purchase, the center announced in an April 21 Instagram post.

Health Pods’ owner, Shane Castro, has also teased a new project that he described as “magical” and “something this world has never seen before.”

“You’re not going to have to drive to Miami, you’re not going to have to drive to Fort Lauderdale, heck, you’re not even going to have to drive to Disney World for this magical experience,” Castro said in a March Instagram video.

“Right here in Pembroke Pines ... it’s something I believe this community needs.”

Neither Health Pods nor Café 42 responded to the Pembroke Pines News’ request for comment as of May 4.
