Older adults vs. students: Friendly competition returns to Pines. Here are details

Pembroke Pines, a city often described as being health and wellness focused, is adding a bit of friendly competition to that reputation on Wednesday.

Members of the Carl Shechter Southwest Focal Point Community Center will team up and compete against 22 Pembroke Pines Charter High School students during the Second Annual Senior Olympics on April 8.

The event will take place from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. in the center’s Main Hall at 301 NW 103rd Ave.

Participants will face off in a series of games, including Ping Pong Ball Basketball, cornhole, Face the Cookie, basketball, Stack the Solo Cups and more.

The competition is free and open to the public.
