Miami-based El Car Wash opens second location in Pembroke Pines. What to know
If you see a long trail of cars lining up near 78th Terrace and Pines Boulevard this weekend, don’t fret.
It’s just Pembroke Pines’ newest South Florida gem: El Car Wash.
The iconic Miami-based brand opened its east Pines location, 7781 Pines Blvd., on March 10, according to the company’s Instagram account.
A grand opening celebration slated for Saturday, March 28, will make El Car Wash’s presence in the southwest Broward city official, with the first 100 visitors promised “something special,” per the brand’s March 10 post.
The one-stop shop marks El Car Wash’s second Pembroke Pines location, with the brand’s 181 NW 180th Ave. station opening in April 2024.
What is El Car Wash?
If you’re unfamiliar with the 305’s most popular car wash chain, we’ll catch you up to speed.
Established in 2011, the self-acclaimed “largest express car wash” in Florida now boasts over 90 locations in the Sunshine State and Michigan, per the brand’s website.
The company was originally a small chain of four car wash locations owned by TV show host Lili Estefan and her ex-husband before Geoff Karsas & Justin Landau — New York private equity professionals — bought the brand and transformed it into the Magic City staple it’s become.
El Car Wash sports several standout qualities that make it quintissentially Miami: Its pink-and-teal branding is reminiscent of the city’s Art Deco style and has partnerships with the NHL’s Florida Panthers and Baptist Health South Florida.
But it’s best known for offering tiered membership options to keep your car clean at all times.
Individual washes cost from $10 to $30 and memberships run from $25 to $36 for unlimited monthly washes.
Packages include amenities such as hot wax, graphene, polymer conditioner and more as part of its “state of the art equipment.”
El Car Wash’s east Pembroke Pines location is open every day from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
