Comics, collectibles and card trading store opens 2nd location in Pembroke Pines
Pembroke Pines has welcomed a new hub for lovers of comics, collectibles and trading cards.
Sky High Comics & Games — originally from Fort Pierce — celebrated the grand opening of its second brick-and-mortar store at 180 S. University Drive on March 6.
Started in 2023 in St. Lucie County, the brand says its one of the “largest collectible stores in the county,” and backs the claim with an inventory of rare and vintage goods such as retro game consoles and trading cards of niche and mainstream fame.
Popular games sold at the store include Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic the Gathering and Lorcana and One Piece.
According to a Dec. 18 Instagram post, when the Pembroke Pines store was first announced, Sky High’s second location was aiming for a February opening to cater to southwest Broward customers.
“Expect tons of games, events, cards, comics and everything you love about Sky High — now closer to you,” reads the post.
The Fort Pierce store is also known to host weekly trading card tournaments for cash prizes, game-themed swag or store discounts, signaling what’s to come at the new location. Entry fees apply.
