A South Florida indoor playground brand for kids and parents alike is headed for Pembroke Pines.

Broward-based Tree House Indoor Play & Cafe has started on permits and design plans to bring family-friendly fun to the city in the near future, the brand announced via a March 3 Instagram post.

An opening date hasn’t been released, but the kids gym is set to occupy a corner spot in the Cobblestone Plaza — 14804 Pines Blvd. — replacing a Party City that closed in early 2025.

“Same heart, new home — expect the roomy, clean, and secure play areas your kids love, a cozy family-friendly cafe with delicious bites, stress-free birthday parties, and our warm helpful team ready to make every visit extra special,” reads the announcement.

The Tree House got its start in a few years ago when Lorraine Costello and Thiago Ribeiro struggled to find inviting play spaces that kept their kids occupied in South Florida after the couple relocated from Australia.

“(Thiago) often took the twins to various indoor playgrounds. The South Florida heat and humidity made indoor play essential, but we found that the available options didn’t quite match the warm, personal feel we were searching for,” Costello told VoyageMIA in January. “The idea for The Tree House was born out of these experiences — and we couldn’t shake it.”

The couple launched their 8,000-square-foot flagship location in Fort Lauderdale in October 2023 for kids ages 1 to 3, followed by a 10,000-square-foot Pompano Beach gym in September 2025 for kids ages 1 to 8.

Both indoor playgrounds tote at least 4.7 stars on Google with hundreds of reviews, and have hosted over 500 birthdays in the last two years, per the brand’s website.

Offerings include obstacle courses, zip lines, climbing walls, ball pits, tunnels and slides, as well as an arcade for young kids.

An in-house restuarant and coffee shop features menu items including pizza, chicken tenders and fries, avocado toast, and charcuterie.

Those looking to maximize their playground experience can enjoy “Instagram-ready” themed birthday packages that include, food, decor, face painting, characters visits and more.

Day passes range from $15.99 to $25.99, monthly and annual memberships cost $75 to $125, and birthday packages start at $900.
