The results are in for which Pembroke Pines restaurants are serving the best and boldest flavors citywide.

Over 60 South Florida vendors gathered at the Charles F. Dodge City Center on Thursday, Feb. 19, for Taste of Pines — the city’s 16th annual culinary fair — to show off their finest offerings and compete for a spot on the winner’s podium.

The $45 ticketed event — which sold out within three weeks — hosted dozens of attendees who ranked food trucks, cafes, pastry shops, breweries and more as part of the event’s “People’s Choice” awards.

On the ballot were four categories: Best Taste & Food, Best Drink, Best Dessert and New Kid on the Block, which lauded newbie restaurateurs, caterers or vendors in Pembroke Pines.

All proceeds from the event benefited the City of Pembroke Pines Charter School Foundation, a city-run nonprofit that supports teachers and students though scholarships for high school graduates and bonuses for employees in the charter school system.
