The City of Pembroke Pines Charter School System is accepting lottery applications and re-registrations for the 2026-27 school year through Feb. 10.

Enrollment in the PPCS is determined through a random lottery when applications exceed available seats.

All current PPCS students are required to re-register to confirm and update contact information. Florida residents who are not currentyly enrolled may apply through the school lottery, while returning applicants must resubmit their application to maintain their waitlist position.

The application and re-registration portal can be found here. The application link can be found here.

Campus reassignment requests will be accepted through Jan. 31 and are granted based on seat availability. A re-registration form is still required for students requesting reassignment.

The city operates the largest Charter School System in Broward County and the largest municipally run non-profit charter system in Florida.

The system’s adopted budget for the 2024-25 school year was $86.75 million and included 581 employees serving a projected 6,285 students in four elementary schools, three middle schools and one high school.

According to the Pembroke Pines Charter School website, PPCSS has a waiting list of 4,361 applicants.

Additional details about the lottery process are outlined in the city’s Charter School Lottery Outline.
