South Florida residents planning to travel this year will soon have more nonstop options at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

Airlines such as JetBlue, Frontier and Allegiant have announced new service routes to destinations across Florida, Texas, the Midwest and Northeast. The expansions are expected to begin rolling out between the late winter and spring seasons.

In a news release on Jan. 5, JetBlue announced it would “further strengthen its position as the largest carrier in Fort Lauderdale” with year-round nonstop routes to Orlando International Airport and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.

The twice-daily flights to Orlando are scheduled to start May 21 and will have a limited time introductory one-way fare of $49. Daily flights to Dallas are slated to start March 12 and continue year-round, following an initial announcement as a spring break-only service.

Frontier announced 23 new routes to launch in 2026, including four from FLL starting in March. The service would be to the following airports:

  • Indianapolis International Airport starting March 6
  • John Glenn Columbus International Airport in Columbus, Ohio, starting March 8
  • St. Louis Lambert International Airport starting March 13
  • Raleigh-Durham International Airport in North Carolina starting April 2

To kick off the new routes, the airline is offering introductory fares starting at $49.

Allegiant is also adding four new routes out of FLL, including the carrier’s first non-stop service from Fort Lauderdale to Trenton, New Jersey, which is schedued to start Feb. 18.

Before the Trenton debut, Allegiant will roll out three additional routes to the following airports:

  • Chicago Rockford International Airport starting Feb. 12
  • Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport in New York starting Feb. 12
  • Albany International Airport in New York starting Feb. 13

The return to the Rochester airport also revives a route previously served by the airline seven years ago.

All four new routes are expected to operate on a sub-daily schedule. Fares and schedules vary by route, and Allegiant encourages travelers to check specific operating days when booking.

Breeze Airways will also be adding a new route from FLL to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, beginning Jan. 16. The route comes after three months of Breeze’s service at FLL, which began on Nov. 5.

The route will run four days a week — Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays — with one-way fares starting from $59.
