Visitors to Spring Valley Dream Park now have a new reason to stop, stare and admire.

Local artists Ernesto Maranje and Ktano completed a series of four new murals in October. The City of Pembroke Pines says the work aims to “celebrate love, kindness and community.”

The murals feature scenes from the Pembroke Pines community and the Everglades, with the artwork reflecting wildlife such as roseate spoonbills, swans and sandhill cranes, along with orange blossoms, a nod to Florida’s native flora.

City officials say the project is part of an ongoing effort to use public art to brighten outdoor spaces and strengthen the sense of community at city parks, including Spring Valley Dream Park, located at 1700 NW 160th Ave.
