Are you over the age of 60, young at heart and looking to bust a move?

You might be what the Miami Heat is looking for this season.

The NBA franchise will host auditions for the 2025-2026 Golden Oldies, its senior dance troupe, at Pembroke Pines’ Southwest Focal Point Community Center on Thursday, Sept. 25. All that’s required is a love for dance, a ready-to-learn attitude and a color-coordinated outfit.

In-person registration begins at 10 a.m. followed by a choreography workshop where dancers will be taught all the moves needed for the audition. A panel of judges will then review performances before finalizing their picks and introducing the new team around 3 p.m., when the event wraps up.

A red, black or white outfit and nonslip dance or athletic shoes are required for seniors who want to try out, according to the team’s website. All dancers must be 60 or older when they audition and keep flexible schedules to attend rehearsals, games and appearances.

The Golden Oldies are made up of roughly 20 senior citizens and debuted in 2004. In its 21st season, the dance troupe typically performs at Heat games played at the team’s home arena, the Kaseya Center.
