A Pembroke Pines Mexican staple is getting a top-secret makeover this month.

Restaurant and tequila bar Agave Bandido plans to welcome its new hidden barroom — the Maya Speaktiki — on Wednesday, March 25, for customers looking to sip in secrecy, the eatery’s team told the Pembroke Pines News on March 17.

The Pembroke Gardens restaurant, located at 14531 SW Fifth St., is Agave Bandido’s flagship locale but will host the brand’s fourth speakeasy across its locations in Sarasota, Winter Garden and Dunwoody, Georgia.

Customers should look for a faux confessional booth — the speakeasy’s inconspicuous front door — for access to seasonal pop-up bars, themed cocktails and a first-of-its-kind food menu.

Southwest-inspired drink offerings include the Aztec Goddess, Feathered Serpent, Soldier of the Sun, El Templo and the Stashed Fortune — a treasure chest of libations that serves up to six people.

Maya SpeakTiki exclusive fare will also debut at the Pembroke Pines location, with the speakeasy teasing a shrimp-stuffed charred pineapple dish on its Instagram on March 7.

Agave Bandido’s sister locations will follow suit, offering a food menu after the March 10 Pines launch, according to the brand’s team.

Where Pembroke Pines’ SpeakTiki will differ is its hours of operation. It will be open seven days a week instead of Wednesday through Sunday, like its Dunwoody and Sarasota counterparts, or Monday through Saturday like its Winter Gardens barroom.

Guests can enjoy disguised amenities Monday through Wednesday from 4 to 11 p.m., Thursday from 4 p.m. to midnight, Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. and Sunday from 4 to 10 p.m.
