Another week, another chance to maximize how much fun you can have in Pembroke Pines outside of your 9-to-5.

This Monday through Thursday, the southwest Broward city invites you to get out of your social circle and forge new connections.

Bookworms can enjoy intimate conversation, women business owners can expand their network, crafters can pick up a new textile skill and couples can keep the romance alive with a creative workshop.

Director’s Book Club: Crying in H Mart

Join Allison Grubbs, director of Broward County Libraries, for an intimate conversation about family, food, grief and love in this book club discussion from 11 a.m. to noon Monday at the Pembroke Pines/Walter C. Young Resource Center. The talk will center around “Crying in H Mart,” a memoir by author and singer Michelle Zauner about her cultural identity, complex relationship with her mother and the fallout from her mother’s death from cancer. Admission is free and open to the public.

Date Night at Hawaii Fluid Art

Spice up your workweek with a romantic art workshop from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hawaii Fluid Art. The painting studio will teach couples how to do “acrylic pouring,” an abstract style that uses free-flowing, liquid paint to create unpredictable designs on a 12x12 canvas. Also included with admission are snacks and wine or beer to “sip while you swirl.” Tickets are $97.31 per couple for those 18 years or older.

Run into Wellness

Work up a sweat on Wednesday with Pines Running Co.’s “Run into Wellness” trot. Runners will meet at Cafe of Life at 7 p.m. before taking off on a 1-to-5-mile run. Post-workout, participants can enjoy complimentary alignments from the chiropractic office, as well as socialize with fellow fitness lovers. Admission is free with registration.

Coffee Meet Up West Broward

Calling all women entrepreneurs: Here’s your chance to connect with like-minded ladies. The National Association of Women Business Owners will host coffee and conversation at Lady Baker, located at 14545 SW Fifth St., from 9 to 10 a.m. on Thursday. Attendees are welcome to bring a friend as well as exapnd their network and share their experiences with other members. Admission is free with registration.

Late-Nite Jump Off

Those young at heart can enjoy a late-night bounce Thursday at Sky Zone Pembroke Pines’ adults-only night. Attendees can enjoy unlimited jumping from 8 to 10 p.m., a complimentary Icee included with admission and a live music performance by DJ Qwon. Tickets are $28.99, not including tax.

Off the Hook

Off the Hook’s knitting and crochet group returns to the Southwest Regional Library from noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday. Show off your latest project or pass on stitching techniques at this cozy community event. All supplies and materials will be provided by the Friends of the Library nonprofit. Admission is free, but registration is required to participate.
