The southwest Broward city is the festive gift that keeps on giving, and this Monday through Thursday are no exception.

“Star Wars” fans can enjoy a headstart on the fandom’s annual holiday, moms can look forward to several family-friendly activities and a well-deserved night off, and singers can show off their pipes.

Crafty Kids: ‘Star Wars’ Edition

It’s never too early for “May the 4th” celebrations, per the Broward County Library system. The South Regional/Broward College Library will host a “Star Wars”-themed crafting event at 3 p.m. as part of its “Celebrating the Galaxy” series, which runs from April 22 to May 4. Attendees can also enjoy a special visit from the 501st Legion’s “Everglades Squad,” the South Florida branch of a “Star Wars” cosplay group. Admission is free for the ages 5 and up event, but requires registration.

Karaoke Night at Boneyard Pizza Co.

Sing your heart out at Boneyard Pizza Co.’s weekly karaoke night, Wednesday from 5 to 10 p.m. Song suggestions are welcome and meal specials — including $1 wings — will be available to keep you fueled for your performance. Other menu items include pizza, burgers and quesadillas. Admission is free and open to the public.

Marci Poppins Celebrates Día de los Niños Family Show

Enjoy a magic show, puppets and storytelling events at South Regional Library’s “Día de los Niños” celebration Wednesday from 3 to 4 p.m. Spanish for “Children’s Day,” the holiday originates in Mexico and was adopted in the United States by children’s book author Pat Mora to celebrate “the importance of literacy for children of all linguistic and cultural backgrounds.” Admission is free and registration is required for this all-ages event.

Sensory Sprouts

The South Regional/Broward College Library hosts Sensory Sprouts, a storytime event for neurodivergent children, from 11 a.m. to noon on Wednesday. The hour-long event includes books, songs and sensory play — such as felt, egg shakers and scarves — as part of a “welcoming and inclusive program.” Admission is free with registration.

Finish Line Flanny

Get your midweek miles in alongside Pines Running Co. Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Runners of all paces are welcome and will meet at Flanigan’s Seafood Bar and Grill, 17185 Pines Blvd., for a 2-mile trot, jog or sprint — the choice is yours. Post-run, enjoy exclusive deals at the South Florida chain and mingle with other runners. Admission is free and open to the public, but requires registration.

Mom’s Night Out

Need a break from family duties? Decompress at this “Mom’s Night Out” meetup on Wednesday at Maya Speaktiki. Courtesy of the Pembroke Pines Mommy Club, attendees will meet at Agave Bandido’s hidden speakeasy, tucked inside The Shops at Pembroke Gardens. Enjoy Mexican-inspired cocktails and fare as well as much-needed downtime with fellow moms. The event’s time is provided upon registration.

Off the Hook

Off the Hook’s knitting and crochet group returns to the Southwest Regional Library from noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday. Show off your latest project or pass on stitching techniques at this cozy community event. All supplies and materials will be provided by the Friends of the Library nonprofit.
