Monday is Groundhog Day, but that doesn’t mean your week’s got to be on “wash, rinse and repeat.”

If you’re looking to break up the 9-to-5 monotony, this city’s got events to fill up your Monday through Thursday.

Scheduled for this week are gymanisum fun, brain games and chances to perfect your textile crafts.

Trivia Nation at Throwback Tavern

Feeling up for a brain game? Throwback Tavern hosts its weekly trivia night from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday. The competition will be hosted in teams, and the category is “general knowledge trivia,” meaning anyone from ages 8 to 80 is welcome to play. Get a head start on the winnings — $100 in prizes — by visiting the restaurant’s website for the free answer of the week.

Kids Sewing Club

If you’re young and crafty, head out to this beginners sewing club meet at Tops Vacuum and Sewing on Tuesday from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Kids ages 8 and up will learn the basics to operating a sewing machine and have the opportunity to complete a small project, with all materials provided at the event. Admission is free with registration.

My Gym Pembroke Pines Movement Event

This kids gym will offer a movement class at the Pembroke Pines/Walter C. Young Resource Center on Wednesday. Children ages 2 to 10 can enjoy 30 to 45 minutes of basic tumbling, games, relays, puppet shows, bubbles and more, My Gym Pembroke Pines’ way of “promoting reading, health, and physical fitness awareness in a super fun way.” Admission is free, but registration is required, and parents are instructed to arrive 15 minutes early with their child.

Sensory Sprouts

The South Regional/Broward College Library hosts Sensory Sprouts, a storytime event for neurodivergent childen, from 11 a.m. to noon on Wednesday. The hour-long event includes books, songs and sensory play — such as felt, egg shakers and scarves — as part of a “welcoming and inclusive program.” Admission is free with registration.

Off the Hook

Off the Hook’s knitting and crochet group returns to the Southwest Regional Library from noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday. Show off your latest project or pass on stitching techniques at this cozy community event. All supplies and materials will be provided by the Friends of the Library nonprofit.
