Halloween is here, and there’s no need to fear you’ll be without a costume contest, candy giveaway or celebration to ring in the festivities.

Pembroke Pines has been partying all week long and plans to finish spooky season strong.

What’s up the city’s sleeve? A vintage car meet-up, a haunted “blackout” party and more.

Here’s what’s happening Friday:

Shinya Spooky Anime Night

Cosplayers and anime lovers are invited to a night of “fun, food and fandom” at Baoshi Food Hall + Bar. Attendees can enjoy Asian-inspired bites from the hall’s five eateries, bar and market, and shop from a “variety of nerdy vendors” invited just for the event. Other perks include a Labubu raffle, Pokémon trading, a live DJ performance and more. Admission is free with registration.

The family-friendly meet kicks off at 6 p.m. and features a prize-filled costume contest and trunk decoration competition at 9 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.

Halloween Candy Giveaway at Pembroke Lakes Mall

Pembroke Lakes Mall invites customers’ little ghouls and goblins to an afternoon of trick-or-treating from 1 to 6 p.m. Children are encouraged to dress up in costume and pass by participating stores — flagged by a pumpkin sign on their doors — for candy while supplies last. Admission is free and open to the public, but all kids must be accompanied by an adult.
