Ready to relive the ’90s? Then Pines’ Beats & Bites throwback concert is for you
Before thoroughly curated Spotify playlists and bluetooth speakers, there was the end of the Walkman era with grunge guitars, pop anthems and arcade games that devoured your quarters.
Pembroke Pines is channeling that 1990s magic with Beat & Bites, its first monthly concert series kicking off Thursday, Oct. 23, from 7-9 p.m. at the Charles F. Dodge City Center.
Hosted by the City of Pembroke Pines, each “Throwback Thursday” concert will celebrate the hits of different decades, performed by local and regional bands.
The Oct. 23 show will feature the band Torres Collective performing ’90s throwbacks. There also will be several classic arcade machines for guests to enjoy.
Guests can expect a rotating lineup of food trucks and vendors offering bites that match the night’s vibe.
This free, family-friendly event is open to the public. Upcoming Beats & Bites concerts are also scheduled for Nov. 20 and Dec. 18.
